Sandy McDonald
Sandy McDonald is passionate about blogging as the cornerstone of building relationships and as the key strategy for building community online.
She is the founder of the Why You Must Blog and co-founder of Australian charity, KasCare Inc.
KasCare is an online charity with an international community of more than 10,000 members from 54 countries. Its mandate is to help the 2.9 million South African and Zimbabwean children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS and poverty.
She and her husband, Roger, ran their own marketing communications and design business, ArtWords, for 22 years before founding KasCare and Why You Must Blog.
She has also founded the Linkedin community, Inspiring Women Online as a space in which women (and men) can grow their online knowledge without inhibition.
Her impassioned communications online, trust-based relationship-building processes, persistence and an understanding of sound search engine optimisation practice, have delivered success to KasCare and its primary programs, Knit-a-square and KasKids. She rejoices in the knowledge that the community itself continues to build the organization.
How to create community online and nurture it to make a profound difference to the lives of all its stakeholders, is the knowledge she shares with businesses and organisations today.
